The percentage of first-time college freshman who persist into their sophomore year reached its highest point since 2010 with the 2013 entering class, says a new report from the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center. The 1 percentage point increase, or 69.6 percent, means 17,000 more rising sophomores returned from summer break in the fall of 2014 than in the previous year.
