Casey van der Stricht
Director of Impact Investing
Casey van der Stricht is the director of impact investing for Lumina Foundation, an independent, private foundation in Indianapolis committed to making learning opportunities beyond high school available to all. She oversees Lumina’s program-related investment (PRI) and mission-related investment (MRI) portfolios.
Mrs. van der Stricht brings extensive experience in impact investing to Lumina, most recently as principal at MIT Solve’s Solve Innovation Future fund. At Solve, she managed a targeted $30 million fund and led 18 investments in tech-enabled mission-driven companies. Previously, she was vice president of social investments at Social Finance, where she structured social impact bonds and led the firm’s early exploration of outcomes-based financing work in sustainability.
Based in Boston, van der Stricht is a mother of three girls, a marathoner, a Nordic skier, a spy novel reader, and an ice cream connoisseur.
