
Mandy Facer
Director of Journalism and Digital Strategies
Mandy Facer is the director, journalism and digital strategies, at Lumina Foundation, an independent, private foundation in Indianapolis that is committed to making opportunities for learning beyond high school available to all. She leads Lumina’s digital and social outreach strategy and partnerships with nonprofit and public news organizations such as PBS NewsHour, The Texas Tribune, and Washington Monthly.
Before joining Lumina in 2025, Facer was vice president of marketing for Well Done Marketing, an Indianapolis-based full-service agency working with Lumina to reach digital audiences effectively. At Well Done, Mandy led a team of 22 and provided clients with strategic planning, crisis management, and executive counsel. She was the player-coach for a project that combined a hospital system’s 13 different websites into one easy-to-use site. Facer managed large budgets and sensitive client relationships. Before joining Well Done, she was marketing director at OneAmerica Financial in Indianapolis. She also previously was marketing director for a nonprofit that combats human trafficking and was excited to rejoin the social sector.
Facer earned a bachelor of fine arts in communication from Brigham Young University, where she was a college journalist. She is pursuing a master’s degree in creative writing at Butler University.
