The middle grades of sixth through 10th are a critical time for young people. During these formative years, students create narratives of their current and future selves. This guide from Jobs for the Future offers detailed information and resources to help  middle and high school students explore their options for the future through Career and College Exploration Experiences (CCEE).

Career and College Exploration Experiences provide students with opportunities to expand their understanding of the many careers and college choices available to them. CCEE events are more interactive than traditional “walk around and observe” school field trips. During CCEE events, students are encouraged to interact with employees and college students at the places they visit. Through interaction, students can gain insights into adults’ career choices and real-world experiences.
